PTSO

Soaring Wings Parent/Teacher/Student Organization (SWPTSO) sponsors social, civic and fundraising events which enhance the school community, including: Fall Fiesta, Fall Food Drive, Angel Trees, Yearbook and Park City Children’s Fair. The Children’s Fair, held the Sunday following Memorial Day, benefits our Teacher Enrichment and Children’s Planet Funds. Teacher Enrichment Funds are awarded each year to deserving teachers, enabling them to attend an assortment of local and national teacher workshops and conferences.

Some of Our Causes

The Children’s Planet Fund is a group of organizations chosen by students for their role in supporting a healthy world for children. These include Recycle Utah, Park City Library, Summit County Library, Plan International and Adopt-a-Native Elder. Our ongoing support of these groups lends depth to our curriculum. Classes exchange letters with our “adopted” children in Honduras, Paraguay, Sri Lanka and Africa as well as with our Navajo grandmother, Frances Bahe, in northern Arizona. The Children’s Planet Fund provides a way for children to see that they can make a difference in their world.

How You Can Help

The outstanding parents and teachers who are the backbone of SWPTSO make sure that each social, civic and fundraising event is successful as well as lots of fun. Each volunteer brings experience, talent and enthusiasm to projects and events. We invite you to join us! Watch the newsletter for meeting dates and times. Donations are gratefully accepted.
